July 7th 2004 - July the 4th was okay.. I worked, no big deal.. there was a lot of people from a family reunion at the pool, and I mean a LOT. They had the whole freaking park minus the pool rented out. Then I got drunk at Michelle's party, swam in a semi-cold pool and played chess with Liz. The next morning I had to work, I woke up at 5 in the morning still drunk. That sucked. Drank some water, went back to bed wishing for rain and lo and behold, I get my wish! At 8:20 in the morning super storm hit and lightning struck so close to the house that I thought it HIT the house! Due to that bolt we lost our garage functions, our air conditioner, our washer (not dryer) and our clock radios and my radio. Thankfully the computer was spared, though for some reason I don't know why. However, the storm didn't last and we actually had to work all of Monday, UNTIL we CLOSED and a huge ass storm hit AGAIN and knocked all of the pool power out, which continued into Tuesday and they just got the power back today. I did get my car brakes fixed and I just made an appointment to register for classes so I'm on a roll! I desperately need to clean my room and do laundry though... which is hampered by my grandmother doing laundry. Speaking of my grandmother, there's a really funny dream that Eric had involving her which he should be writing about soon! But it's R rated due to language. Aside from that I don't really have much to rant about because all I've been doing is working and sleeping. If I hadn't of gotten Tuesday off because of the power then I would almost be working 9 days in a row. Whereas I would have loved the hours, I don't think I'd like working that much. ... I'm still living in my house which I hate, .. I mean, I'm fine with the no rent thing, but I still hate my father and living here with him sucks. Just yesterday when they replaced the washing machine with my grandmothers, he was almost crushed to death when it almost crashed into him while my brother and him were taking it downstairs on a dolly and it fell. Everyone was really worried, but I was just like .. eh, whatever. It didn't kill him, maybe next time. And do you KNOW why he didn't die?? Because he's a horrible person and those people beyond all odds live the longest of anyone!! You could think me a horrible person because I wouldn't mind if my father died, but really.. you don't know him, and all my friends agree life would be better in the world without him so that makes me feel justified. Okay well I'm going to stop procrastinating and get to cleaning my room so that I feel like I'm accomplishing SOMETHING today. - chris
"'Well... the washing machine almost killed my dad but didn't'. - chris 'Bummer, maybe it'll happen again when they move the dryer'. - eric" -- July 3rd 2004 - Okay so we've been busy for a while. Doesn't really matter all that much. So, yeah... I f-ing hate cops!!! I'm not saying I don't speed. I speed all the freaking time! I just don't get caught that often. But when I DO get caught speeding and get a ticket I don't care because I know it's my fault and I shouldn't have been speeding and then I either pay the ticket or get it fixed. LAST night however, I got a speeding ticket (46 in a 35) and I wasn't speeding at all!!!! I seriously for the first time ever was NOT speeding and I get a f-ing speeding ticket!! WTF?!?!? The cop was a complete and total prick to me too. It seriously pisses me off, but evidently you can't win against cops.. I mean, they do have the right to kick your ass for no reason and all they have to keep saying is "Stop resisting!!" and continue brutally kicking your ass. You don't even have to BE resisting, but they can still do it. Anyhow... so last night I went and saw Spider-Man 2 and it was sooo freaking awesome! I didn't necessarily like the first one that much, but this one was really cool. However I had to watch the entire movie completely drenched because there was NO parking and it was raining a lot. So I dropped Kim and Eric off at the front and went and parked like a block away at a church and walked to the theater. I got so many funny looks when I got there it was great. I even passed by a St. Louis Bread Company and everyone who was near a window just completely stopped what they were doing and stared at me. That was funny, but it doesn't stop there! So Eric gets us some seats and evidently these seats are made of GOLD because everyone wanted to take them when Kim and Eric went to the concession stand!! This cool and hilarious black family sitting next to me were awesome because they helped keep the seats too. I mean EVERYONE was asking if those seats were open and I had Kim's purse on the seat next to me, you know,.. to symbolize that it was taken. The family was so funny they kept on saying "those are taken" before people would even ask, and then at one point and time they said "Um.. do you see that? That is NOT his purse. Those seats are taken." and I just lost it because it was sooo funny! .. But bad news is that my car is not doing so hot right now. The brakes sound like ... well.. they just sound really bad. It's not a high pitched squeeling noise, more like a low gutteral grinding noise that makes you want to strangle puppies if you thought that would help. And can I just say that I am SO going to see the Thunderbirds movie???? CUZ I AM!! It looks so cool! .. However if you can't tell the sarcasm dripping from my statements due to the inability to convey emotions through binary internet venues then your loss. As for my poker winnings, well I had another good night possibly due to my ultimate yahmaka (pardon spelling errors). I look really bad in hats, I think due to the size of the bills on hats, so I just don't wear them. Well I have one hat and I decided to just get rid of the bill so it looks like a huge beeny, thus causing people to think it's a large yahmaka. I'll just go out on a limb and say it looks hilarious, which is the possible reason why I won so much at the last poker game because people were distracted by my hat. ... Oh, and in just two months Eric will be in Chicago! I don't know if he'll update at all, but who knows. If we have two complete months of no updating then it's pretty safe to say that the banjoduck and biomoleculargeneticist webpage will be going the way of Kain, wandering the Earth attempting to help people. .. and on a closing note, Mucha Lucha freaks me out. - chris "That is 'not' his purse. Those seats are taken." -- |
