February 13th 2004 - Oooo, Friday the 13th. Ah well. Geez, for a while now I haven't been able to remember having dreams, but now all of a sudden I'm having all kinds of crazy dreams. Not crazy crazy dreams, just really odd ones. Like being chased through a mall by a bunch of predominantly black female vampires, using dynomite to create (rather than the normal destroying) a kikkas waterfall-esque sink out of thin-air, a bunch of HUGE planes acrobatically crashing. There were a lot of other things that happened but those are the things foremost in my mind. In other news I hate my school. Okay, I don't really hate it, but I just think their policies could be better. Like if you withdrawl from a class the very next day of the first class, you can get all your money back, but that's syllabus day! How the hell are you supposed to gauge the teachers competency or ability to teach effectively?? So I have my Business Stats class and we haven't even had our first test yet, but I now think that I'm not really learning much from the class and I don't care much for his method of teaching. It's also just a side concern that I have to try hard to understand what my teacher is saying, English-wise. I did think that I'd be able to withdrawl from the class and not have to repay for it if I took it another semester and hopefully with a different teacher, but alas no. So now I'm paying for the class completely, getting nothing out of it than the knowledge that I do NOT want that teacher again, and contempt for the university that has these dumbass policies. Schools should at LEAST give you a month to see whether or not you can learn in their own classes. For real, I don't exactly enjoy shelling out a lot of damn money for nothing. Maybe I'll write a letter to the dean of school, but I seriously doubt that'll help. K, well that's my not-very-long-rant for February, maybe Eric will actually do something for the site too! If this is what it's going to be like with Eric actually living a couple houses down from me, I'd hate to see what it's going to be like when he's living in another state. - chris
