April 22nd 2001 - Went to the Ani Difranco concert last night, kinda okay. I'm an emotional vampire and my friend Morgan is more reticent than I am so I was unintentionally taking on her laid back characteristics. Lots of miscommunication after the concert between me and other friends, and after screaming into phones, we got it worked out. I miss my Lizzyfoo and want her to move back to St. Louis. I'm also really disappointed in the amount of narrowmindedness in today's society to completely despise people based purely on race, color, gender, sexual orientation, or other things without even knowing who they are. I can't wait till we teach our children to not care about such differences and all be human. Can you believe my parents don't even know who Rosa Parks is?! I really think it's a large fault of our parents and grandparents who've instilled prejudices in us just because we interact with them on a regular basis and people tend to take on mindsets through such ways. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we've come as far as we have, but there's still a long road ahead of us and it's looking none-too brighter. Maybe a meteor will just kindly take out our planet and save us all the trouble it seems to be to care for one another. - chris
