a brief synopsis:
Marc Matrix was an amazing but unhappy man in spite of the fact that he was an
inventor and a genius in his own right. There was nothing he had not been able to
accomplish once he set his mind to it except for one: He could not fill the empty
void in his life.
Lily Roseni was a good and responsible niece; she always did the right
thing. But sometimes doing the right thing does not necessarily bring
happiness.
These two people were meant for each other. They would be perfect
together except for one small problem; they lived in two different centuries.
Marc was introduced to Lily one day—unofficially—when he happened upon
some old journals in his barn that had been left there many, many years before.
Her distinctive personality shown through so clear through her memoirs. He
instantly became aware of the fact that she was someone he very much wished to
meet. But he could not... for she was no longer... and had been so for a very
long time.
His obsession became his muse, however, and he pushed his ingenuity
beyond the normal limitations of time and space. He created the invention of a
lifetime--of two lifetimes! And with this machine he traveled back to the exact
place and time he could meet the incredible woman of his dreams.
And what a meeting it was! There was an instant attraction, a bond
between them, and unbelievable fireworks! Marc found that he could not spend
enough time in her company. Lily, also, felt the same, and found deep within
herself a trust she did not know she could feel, inspired by this strange but
wonderful visitor from the future.
As their courtship grew and matured, they learned many things about
themselves, life and love. Even when they were separated and it seemed as if they
were forever to be torn apart, love reached out and touched their very souls
across the years. They found out that there truly was and always will be… a
time for everything.
