Tell me about CO2
Some of you visiting this site will be unfamiliar with the specifics of CO2 pistol shooting:
CO2 pistols are powered by small 'gas' capsules containing 12g of the gas Carbon Dioxide (CO2). This takes away the need for you to power the gun by charging a spring (the conventional method of powering air pistols), instead a small quanitity of gas is used to push the pellet/bb out of the barrel. The fact that you don't have to manually operate CO2 pistols means that they can (and often do) have the ability of fast-fire shooting. These rapid fire guns have amazing fun potentials, and some also have good accuracy to boot. The use of CO2 as a power source also means that many CO2 guns look a lot like real bullet pistols, where some spring guns have a ray-gun appearance.
Overall, these guns have the ability to give lots of enjoyment for even those on a limited budget (some air pistols can be picked up for under 30 new)
Many manufacturers and magazines make this point, and I shall also say that if you do decide to take up air pistol shooting, then do so safely,
NEVER risking others with your activities. HAVE FUN !
