March 10, 2006 will forever be remembered by me. Today is March 30, 2006, and twenty days ago, Jonathon Ryan Kiker-Beury, my identical twin brother, was killed when he got hit by a truck while innocently walking along the side of the road in Panama City, Florida and he died two hours later. My brother's death has by far been the most dramatic and tragic thing to happen to me in this life. I never even imagined the death of someone so close would be the way it is. I remember saying or thinking that I would cry for days on end if something like that happened but there is so much more to it than just sadness and tears. I can't even begin to describe my feelings, which are a mixture of emotions. I'm just trying to get through each day and put one foot in front of the other because life goes on and so must I. So here I sit, on the computer at OWC where I'm back at school and catching up on my week's worth of missed work. I was able to take two weeks off of school after Jonathon's death. I didn't go to school for the first week and then there was Spring Break so I may have missed two weeks, but I only missed one week of school work. All of my teachers are very understanding and I should be able to finish every class by the end of this month when this semester ends. I really didn't know what I was going to say when I came to edit the news page, but I knew I was going to tell about my brother's death because like I said, this is the biggest piece of news in my life ever. He is in a better place now because he did accept Jesus as his personal savior, but he will be missed by lots of people who loved him infinitely. To Jonathon: I love you.
