computer, in the course of opening the file you may be asked if you want
to save the file or run the file, you already have the file, it is resident
on your computer and you have down-
loaded nothing and my computer
is not snooping on yours. You can do everything that this page does
from the RUN command button. It is the purpose of this page to introduce
people to the hidden settings with in their computer in the most simple

From this point on things get a little
slower as programs that are on YOUR Windows 98 computer are opened.
This will show you all of the settings on your computer and let YOU edit
them! This area is best left to people with Intermediate experiance.

Get more hard Drive Space using DRIVESPACE, a stable and Microsoft designed
compression program.
To repair broken links this is sweet and simple.
This little feature finds 'links' in your menu that no longer work, it
either fixes them or removes them, (it is also very slow at starting up,
check your bottom tool-bar for SMTIDY.
This little program cleans your hard drive and frees up hard drive space, it gives you the options of what to remove and it great for clearing out rubbish files and all those TEMPs that you have forgotten about. .
Convert your drive to FAT 32, your drive should be FAT32 if it is a large drive, anything over 650Mb is, believe it or not, a large drive. Your main drive is more likely than not already FAT32, but is your second hard drive? Run this program to find out and to convert if needed.
Drive Converter converts your drive to the FAT32 file system, an enhancement of the File Allocation Table (FAT or FAT16) file system format. When your drive is in this format, it stores data more efficiently, creating up to several hundred MB of extra disk space on the drive. In addition, programs run faster and your computer uses fewer system resources.
Microsoft have kindly provided a very nice improvement over Scandisk from Windows 95 with Win98, check out Scandskw; this is program checks your drive for faults and repairs them if found..
Tuneup. A maintenance wizard that will quietly do all the housework within your computer for you, it is easy to configure, automatic and keeps your computer in tip-top condition.
Taskman, is an old program, it goes back to the days of Windows 3.1. What Taskman does is simple, it shows you what programs on your computer are running right now, a bit like pushing Control & Tab at the same time, but with a slicker interface; Plus it will sit in your bottom task bar if you want it to. Just a little bit handier than Cont/Tab from time to time.
Windows information (Hwinfo.exe). This program does not run on all Windows systems, but if it does, its a peal of a program. Click the button, and run the program, see what it tells you. Very useful.
