At the Oberrheinfront machinegun-attacks at Freiburg.

A german assault unit takes british field positions and two fortifications at Zeringen (southwest of Merzig). British losses 20 dead, 16 captured. The prisoners are from the Duke of Cornwalls Rgt.

A german attack in the Saarlautern sector at the Foret de la Houve fails at a wire-obstacle. German - Casualties: 3 dead, 8 wounded were all recovered.

At Weiler a german recon-squad loses two men.

A german recon-squad recovered a dead french soldier after fire fight and captured on machinegun at Nothweiler.

German recon-squad loses 6 dead and 3 wounded to a french recon-squad at Groß-Rosseln (south of Völklingen) One dead was recovered by the french.

A german recon-squad is attacked by superior french forces southeast of Saarbrücken. Three members missing.

Another german recon-squad encounters french field-positions; French losses about 10 men, German losses 2 dead, 6 wounded.

1 french M.G. captured.

 

Oberbefehlshaber Ost

12 poles that wanted to get to hungary were arrested; About 40-55 escaped.

In Tomaszow three hostages were shot because of cable-sabotage.
