westsouthwest of Lindesnaes enemy ships. Despite heavy AA and fighter defense 4
Ju-88 and on squadron He-111 can be guided to the position.
1 –500kg hit on aircraft carrier by Ju-88
2 –250kg hit on battleship by He-111 (H.M.S. “Hood”)
1 – miss by Ju-88
German losses 2 Do-18D planes of the
recon-unit. 1 crash landed and rescued by german forces, 1 crash landed off
Firth of Forth. It was shot down by Skua plane of 803.Sqn.( Lieutenant B.S.
McEwen and his air-gunner Petty Officer Airman B.M. Seymour) from “Ark Royal”. After taking the four man crew prisoner, the destroyer
HMS “Somali” sank the plane by gunfire.
First convoy leaves Gibraltar for England (HG-1).
U-Boote:

arrives in Wilhelmshaven.
