Near Schweix and west of it german forward positions are advancing towards the borderline.

Quiet day overall.

West of Baden-Baden some minor shootings.

In the sector of Perl during the day several fire-attacks and strong recon activity from both sides.

German recon-squads report enemy positions 2-4 km south of the german border.

Enemy artillery fire during the day from the right army-wing to Saarbrücken. During the night on both sides of Saarbrücken stronger than the last days.

During the day light during the night strong recon activity from both sides with french main-focus on Merzig and Liederscheidt.

Strong french recon units tried to occupy the heights at Liederscheidt and are rejected with a counterattack. 1 french officer and 24 men captured.

In the southern sector enemy starts with propaganda actions by showing banners and shouting.

South of Saarbrücken the first french positions are reported to be 5-6km south of the border. The most forward german positions are 1-2km close to them appr. in the line from Forbach to the east.

Again french forces attack the area Liedenscheidt with artillery support (from Maginot line?) and are rejected.

A german recon squad reports Forbach to be free.

Bridges west of Stentinger and northwest Emmersweiler are destroyed.

During the night strong enemy search-light and light-grenade usage in front of XXV.A.K.. That shows that the enemy is quite nervous.

In front of the 260.Inf.Div. the enemy is working on his positions.
