„SS Mangalore“ (8,886BRT) cargo ship, at anchor in the Hawke Roads, Spurn, was struck by a drifting mine and broke in two.

B.d.A. Densch with cruiser „Lützow“, „Köln“, „Leipzig“, 6.T-Flottille Leopard, Seeadler, Iltis, Wolf set sail into the Skagerrak for merchant warfare.
