My friend and colleague Zemphira
During my time in Armenia I met many great people through work
and otherwise. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of them all.
Anna, Ruben, Lusine, Mara, Nara, Zemphira, all of the great staff in Artashat
and Yerevan, and many more.
This is my kitchen again, but this time being used as it should be. Here we are making lamadjo, one of the tastiest foods ever. Well actually, Mara is making lamadjo and the rest of us are just watching: Lusine to the left, and Nara in the middle. Armenia has many tasty foods, but lamadjo was definitely one of my favorites.
This
is some of the staff that we trained at a maternity hospital in the town of Artashat.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with all of them. They were all very dedicated to
their work despite hard working conditions. I have great respect for all
of them.
This is one of our training sessions. Lusine helped me a lot with the trainings as my command of Armenian and Russian was not very good....essentially non-existent actually. Here we are teaching nurses and doctors how to use the computers and collect reproductive health data.
