About Us

We are Chris and Joy, hoping to expand our family through adoption. We will both be turning 31 in 2007. We have been married for 5 years.

How We Met

We met through friends. We didn't like each other much at first, but over the years we must have grown on each other because here we are! Joy got into a bad accident with a 4 wheeler May of 2001, and Chris was available to care for her as just her friend, as her family was out of town. Before we knew it, we were in love. We were engaged in December of that year, and married June 2002.

We went through extensive premarital counseling before we married, and attended a wonderful marriage conference soon after our wedding. We have a safe and secure marriage, and enjoy a relationship that grows every day.

About Our 1st Dream Come True

In July 2005, our daughter, Mercy, was born into our family through adoption. Her arrival has brought unspeakable joy into our lives. She is an active two year old now, with an incredible personality, and loving heart. Every day she amazes us with her new observations and developments. While her presence is a constant reminder of God's faithfulness and goodness, we also have a strong desire to continue growing our family. Mercy is sure to be a very caring big sister!

The Other Member of the Family

Jonah Vark is our female cat, who will be 5 this year. We thought she was a boy when we got her, but� turns out she is a girl. But the name was already chosen, and seemed to fit her anyway. She has a preference for Joy, jumping on her lap at every occasion.
