Guilty Plea

I took my brother' life.
I might as well have cut his throat with a knife.
I caused his death.
I took his last breath.
I stole his soul.
At 16-years-old.
Why couldn't it have been me?
I'm the bad one, don't you see.
It has been 9 months, 2 days
Since you walked heaven's stairway.
I wish I could take back that day.
"I'm proud of you", is what I would say.
You died like a captain at sea.
Take me, Take me, I still plea.
