Guilty Conscious

He plead for me to stay
But I swam away
When he disappeared
I shed a tear

The lifeguard asked me, "where did your friend go."
I said, "he's my brother and I don't know"

When we went to the lake
we did not know he wouldn't come back from that lake.

On that day he died.
I lost a part of me inside.

Chris, you will always be in my heart,
Even though Heaven and Earth hold us apart.
