If you haven't heard the news already, Marie is pregnant! We found out on Kevin's birthday, 02/27/2006, and so far everything has gone wonderfully. We're very excited and looking forward to the days that lay ahead.
Marie has been teaching away at Morris Hills in Rockaway, NJ. She had the spring play "Footloose" and went well. After countless hours spent with each kid, I wouldn't expect any less! She has been singing for Kenny I Orchestras regularly and the baby has not affected that end of it. She is in great spirits as usual regardless of being sick constantly.
My work has been fine. Nothing new and not tremendously busy. As most of you know, I'm trying to get back into the military and fly F-16s for the New Jersey Air National Guard. There are many hurdles to overcome before that happens, but I'm highly motivated and I think it will workout. For those who think it's a bad idea, I don't really care. And for the record, I never really did. I just want to kill bad guys.
All is still well with Mom, Dad, Jay, and Kev. Believe it or not, Paula actually applied for a job at the YMCA! I don't think her motivation is in the right place-- she only wants to work there for the free membership. Shocking. Dad is well... just about ready to pull out the lawnmower for a long summer season. It might not seem like a big deal, but we cut ribbons and celebrate every year when the lawnmower comes out like we're lauching a nuclear submarine on its maiden voyage. Jay is starting to get the feel for Fidelity. I don't know why... I think they suck. Kevin has ventured more than an hours drive of the couch! He has been visiting Micaela in Florida regularly.

As most of you know, I spent a short time in the Navy. I had a pilot slot ready for me upon graduation from Officer Candidate School (OCS). When I got to OCS, the medical screening caught a food allergy. After 7 weeks of pushups, runs, intense classwork, rifle drill, and Marine Drill Instructors I was sent home. The experience will never escape me. The link below will take you to my own personal experience of the first four weeks of OCS. Learn the struggles, hardships, and lifelong bonds that are part of the Navy's 13 week officer training program.

There are some new and exciting things happening in my life and Marie's. I just bought a new car on December 17. A new black on black Ford Mustang GT. I finally bought one after all of these years. I really can't believe how nice it is. Far to nice for me.
Marie has been teaching away at Morris Hills in Rockaway, NJ. So far it is going OK. Some days are good and others not so much, but it is her first year. Married life is great for all of those pondering the idea. I can honestly say that it was the best decision of my life. Incredibly enough, it has already been six months since we were married. I look forward to the next six months, six years, six decades... you catch my drift.

All is well with Mom, Dad, Jay, and Kev. Dad's over in another division at United Liquors managing a sales force. Mom's back has been much better after weeks of physical therapy. I think she's realizing that drinking too much wine and trying to do aerials with my father as he's shoe-skating down an icy walkway is a bad idea. Jay has been taken on permanently by Fidelity and looking at a good career there. Kevin is following the same footsteps as I with a long distance relationship. At least his cheap nature will help him afford plane tickets.

Marie and I just got married on July 2, 2005. It was a spectacular day with all of my friends, family, and loved ones. For those who could not make it, you were missed very much. To all those who we would have loved to have there, please do not take it personally as it was simply a matter of finances. It was a true party with the entire crowd packing the dance floor before the salad course. Marie sang a song and I played guitar on one. Obviously, it was one of the best days of our lives.
The honeymoon in St. Maarten was wonderful. We spent everyday on the beach and certainly had our share of wine and corona's. The hotel room was beautiful with two balconies overlooking Dawn beach and St. Barth's. Although there is a good deal of poverty on the island, it was every bit a picturesque memory.
My folks are still very well. My mother is enjoying the summer and looking forward to the cruise aboard the Queen Mary with my father. Dad was a party animal at the wedding and did a great job with everything. Jay was the best man at the wedding and did a great job with the speech-- worth every bit. Somebody get that kid a job. Kevin finally cut his hair and actually seemed to enjoy himself being away from Shelby and the couch. One more small step for mankind, right?
