Drew Trouble
Popular rap artist and comedian ANDREW E. is causing a lot of controversy these days. Some of his new songs have emerged in certain provincial radio stations and are causing quite a commotion there because of the high sexual content of the lyrics of these songs. Critics are calling these new songs "… ang pinakabastos na kanta sa balat ng lupa", although this has not stopped people from requesting the songs on the air. In fact, in the areas where the songs are playing, radio stations say Andrew's songs are the most requested songs in history.
"70% of the calls we get today are for us to play the new Andrew E. songs" remarked Christopher Sy, a radio station manager in Bohol. "People are going crazy with the new songs, and we have not gotten this much response from one of Andrew E.'s songs since his last big hit 'Andrew Ford Medina'." The controversial rap star has not appeared in movies for the last two years since he has been living in Japan, where he has built a name for himself as a successful comedian. Very few people are aware that ANDREW E. is one of the most popular comedians in Japan today, and is presently going to be starring in his own television show in Tokyo next year. This is why he has not been seen in the Philippines anymore, although he has been known to show up in clubs like the Hard Rock Café whenever he comes to visit. His new album, which is expected to be released next month, is a collection of songs which he has been working on for several years now. A source close to Andrew has said "Sawa na si Andrew sa mga kanta na ginagawa niya noon kaya siya gumawa ng ganitong kanta. Bastos nga, pero nakakatuwa rin, kaya siguro sikat na sikat yung mga kanta."
