Parents Guide
This is the one place where parents can read about that...god-awful show(as someone put it so well when I asked them how the felt), and be assured that its not Columbine - prone.
If your curious, I got hooked into the show by actually watching it for someone. My friends used to watch it, but they left school late enough to were the could only catch the tail - end of it. I'd watch it once, write down what happened, then tell them over the phone. I saw one episode and thought "Well, I wonder what will happen next?" And that kept happening. Over and over.
But enough of how I got hooked. I've writen a few things why you should let your child watch it, or whatever, in different scenarios.
Yes, I agree, its violent. I don't agree it'll turn your kid into a crazed person bent on killing people using kamehameha waves. The fact of it is, these people can fly, and shoot little balls of energy from there hands. Strictly fiction. And, look on the bright side. at least, like some anime, it doesn't have...er...revealing people in it.
Yep. Thats how it is in the world of anime, especially Dragonball Z. And plus, its a fighting show, so it should be understandable that its hostile. In one episode, Piccolo was beating up Gohan. This was to trick the enemy so he could buy time. But in short, yeah, its hostile. So is fighting.
Yeah, this is the part I don't like about Dragonball Z. It is very cruel, and when a big guy beats up on a little guy, its not fair, and cruel. I do agree on this scenario, and don't like it very much.
