Dragonball Z usually takes place in Japan, and in a number of cities (eg. Gingertown, West city, South city). Once it took place in space, on a distant planet called Namek (which was destroyed by Frieza).

4. Why is Trunks so nice, yet Vegeta is bad?

Trunks was raised by his mother (Bulma) alone, and she isn't as "bad" as Vegeta.

5. What's with the big eyes?

Thats in a lot of anime shows, so DBZ isn't alone. I'm not sure why the characters have such big eyes. It must be a big secret Japanese-government plan...

6. What the heck does Saiya-jin mean?

Saiya-jin is the same as Saiyan, only the Japanese say it Saiya-jin and we say it Saiyan.

7. How old is Bulma? She was an adult in Dragonball, right?

Bulma is about 40(?) years old, but yes, I think she was an adult in Dragonball.

8.Why do some of the characters hair change color and not others?

It has to do with their race. Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, and Gohan's hair changes because they're Saiyans/Half-Saiyans.

9. What happened to Goku's dad?

Frieza killed him.
