Daimoku Tozo

Outside as we began to chant;
The clouds gathered overhead.
And as we began to invoke Daimoku,
The Hot winds began to blow

We did our Gongyo with a Joyful Sound
while outside, in the world of nature,
the rain was falling down.

The wind blew with the strength of our prayers
and our Daimoku resounded to the heavens,
While, protected from heavens fury,
we were oblivious as
lightning crashed in thunder,
as a tympani to our prayers!

And when the Daimoku was over,
The Gongyo said and Done,
as the sun sank into the horizon,
The birds again sang their evening song.
The air was fresh and pure.
The Demons chased away.
