Lectures on the Sutra

Originally given orally by Josei Toda, this lecture was translated into English in the 70's and given to us with a forward by President Ikeda. It has subsequently been supplanted by material authored entirely by President Ikeda or others. But it remains a powerful work and an insight into the more esoteric (teachings that are usually oral and secretly passed as opposed to exoteric teachings which are usually explicitly taught to everyone) doctrines that form the basis of Nichiren Shoshu thought and understanding the basis for the Sokagakkai's understanding of Nichiren's teachings. For more on this subject see my comments.
