I am a 34 year old (35 in June!) versatile musician that started playing at the age of nine. Back then it was an alto sax and has progressed into guitar (6, 7 and 12 string), bass and keys...and yes I sing back-ups as well. I've had the usual due-paying cover and original bands from Top 40 to rock to prog rock to thrash to funk/disco and some I'm not really sure what they were. I was also with two locally recognized bands:, Flashpoint in Nashville and the D/FW local progressive rock band, Inner Mission. Check out our songs on the audio page. More recently I formed Vertigo, a multi-genre bar band with former members of progressive rock and bar band, Little Green Men and now with Edge of Chaos.

I feel that being a true muscian means listening to all kinds of music. You just never know what great stuff you may find. I have found the only really awful music is music without heart. If you can't feel the song, then you only have icing with no cake. Sometimes not even the icing!

The band I'd like to be in would be heavy with a groove, solid melodies, have harmony vocals and be challenging both technically and in style. I love contrasts in songs and would like that to show in the music we play. All kinds of moods in songs are important as we don't express just one emotion as people. I think a good portion of musicians forget that music is based on feeling, emotion and expression. I prefer writing songs with other musicians. The songs are then more a reflection of the bands than one person. However, I am flexible and band chemistry plays a big part in that process.
