When people search out friends, they tend to look for people that have the same likes and interests. But, just because two people have many common interests, and the same zeal for each of them, doesn't mean that the two people are mere clones of each other.
For example, I present my brother in-law. He's the same age as I am, and we both enjoy art, movies, video games, poetry and computers. But, apart from our ages, I don't believe we are even remotely the same person.
We are both individual human beings, each with our own likes and dislikes. And it's the same with everyone else in the world. Though we may find others with similar tastes, each is his own human being, shaped by unique events and happenings in their lives. To clump everyone together as "the same decaying, organic matter as everything else" is unfair to everyone else.
Sorry, just needed to rant on about that.
