"Taking On The Jellies. You Got Serious Thrill Issues, Dude."

The line from yesterday's blog was from a classic sci-fi flick named "Tron."

The reason for today's weblog is to prove how incongrous the events of our lives are. I'm here today to prove that everything happens for absolutely no reason at all.

I spent the early morning hours having a grand ole time with two female friends of mine for no other reason than to have fun. After that, I came home at 7AM, and slept the rest of the morning away. No rhyme or galactic-altering reason for that.

Then, this afternoon on my way to lunch, I ran into a girl I hadn't seen since middle school. I used to have a thing for this girl oh so long ago. I saw her with her daughter, and another child on the way. We exchanged pleasantries for a bit, and then went on our ways. And while it was good to see Angie Q after so long a time, there was absolutely no reason in the cosmos for our chance meeting.

I could analyze it to death, or just impose some grand, predestined reason as to why each happened; but it doesn't seem right to do so.

I mean come on! First off, friends have fun all the time, no matter what kind of fun it is. If your friend isn't being friendly to you, there's an underlying problem there you need to research. Secondly, I did some pretty unforgettable things in middle school, so for someone from that time ago to remember me out of the blue isn't far-fetched. Aside from all that, I did ask her out.

I wrote some time ago that the pill named "everything happens for a reason" was getting harder and harder to swallow. Well, with today, it finally hit me why. Nothing happens according to a plan. I've also written down that our fate is governed by what we choose, and that fits into the whole scheme. We decree our fate. This is what our Benevolent Creator set us out with, so we should stop relying on Him to bring us through our troubles, for our fate is set about by the path our footsteps trod upon. He gave us the freedom to choose our paths(or, if you prefer, gave us enough rope to hang ourselves with), and if we, or the people we know, are affected significantly, it is only because of the path we have chosen.
