Yesterday's quote was from a movie that, for one reason or another, I love. Plus, it's extremely funny. The movie is "Kissing A Fool," with David Schwimmer and Jason Lee.

I don't know what it is, but I like being needed. I like being a security blanket for someone else. "I just need someone to be there for," Eddie Vedder said in the song "No Way."

Perhaps it's my thing that the most important needs to be filled in my psyche are emotional and psychological ones. Eddie Vedder also said in that same song, "I just need someone to be there for me." And to know that I can provide that for someone else, while they provide it for me, is comforting.

I've learned from a good friend that physical wants and desires are fleeting. Drugs, alcohol and cigarettes wear off eventually; and orgasms have a daily limit, and they don't last very long.

What makes a difference is what you mean to a person. What matters is the support you provide in a person's life.
