I'd like to touch on a subject that came to me several months ago. And while I didn't discourse on it here in a blog - not that I know of, at least - I am here to give you the short and long of it.
I once told a good friend of mine that I had a dream that I read the story of her life. And while going through the book, I decided to turn to the index and search for my name, seeing how important it was in her life. After finding my name in the index, I found that I took up only a minute number of pages in the whole tome.
After sharing this with that particular friend, she said that I was being ridiculous, and told me that I would have my own chapter in her book. While she's correct about me having my own chapter in the story of her life, my self-interest makes me crave more.
But I'm not going to expound on that right now, because this isn't the point that I want to get across. My point is how many pages will the people in your life warrant? Who do you want to take up some pages in your book?
I believe this is an important question because it makes you take into consideration how you view the people in your life? Do you appreciate the things people have done for you, or do you take them for granted? Do you see things in the greater scheme of life, or are you self-centered and selfish?
Just one of those things that no one thinks about.
