I'm only happy with the written word. I've been reading very enjoyably lately, and I miss the fact that I'm not writing a thing, even if it is this weblog. I don't care anymore about what I put down, who reads it, and what they think about it. This makes me happy, and I have to continue it.
The things we say are important, but as important are the things we don't say. The things we leave unsaid also make an important impact in our lives. It has nothing to do with fear or missing an opportunity. We make a difference by not saying things. We leave people in a state they are comfortable in; and we don't pose anything foreign, and potentially frightening, to them.
It's a human being's burden to carry a weight in their hearts, for whatever reason. We're beings filled with desires, and not all desires can be given to us. And no matter what that desire it is that you have, if you cannot have it, you'll carry that weight(sadness?) in your heart forever.
Those that know you best know the load you bear. Those that know you best know what desire it is that remains unfulfilled in your life. And rather than making it known at every step of the way, you make an impact by leaving that comment, those words that sit on the tip of your tongue, that phrase your friends know that you'd scream up to Heaven, unspoken.
I unspeak every day of my life.
