Quiz :                          A quiz will be given at the second meeting over the assassins and would be assassins (who killed or attempted to kill whom, along with some generalizations about assassins).   From “Profiles” handout.

Study Questions:      Will be given from the assigned books for the class. As there are 5 study sheets for each text, a convenient way to hand them in--for both you and me-- would be one per week.

Assassin Profile:      Each person will pick one of the “minor” assassins and, using web and/or other sources, briefly present the life and times of this person (5 minutes).

Final Assessment:    The final assessment will consist of an essay question (1 to 2 pages) applying the criteria for evaluating American political assassins to  Hinckley. (See web site for sources and links.) This assessment embodies the outcomes for the course and through it you will be able to draw some global conclusions considering lives and times that produce individuals who believe they can change the world. Cite all sources according to MLA format.
