Directions to Farish Recreation Area

-         Take I-25 south towards Colorado Springs until exit #141 (US-24 West)

o       Exit I-25 at exit #141 and turn right onto US-24 West

-         Take US-24 West for 17.3 miles

o       This road goes through Old Colorado city (an 1800’s mining town) then heads into the mountains.

o       Stay on this road for 17.3 miles

o       You will pass the towns of  Manitou Springs, Cascade, and Crystola

o       Begin looking for your turn when you see the city limits of Woodland Park

o       Look for a McDonalds on the right side of the road.  Baldwin street is the road just in front of the McDonalds.

o       Turn right on Baldwin street

-         Take Baldwin street north for 3.5 miles

o       This street cuts through a residential area with two schools and several stop signs

o       Follow the road until you see a very large water tank on the left side of the road

o       Just after the water tank you’ll come to an intersection, turn right on Loy Creek Road

-         Take Loy Creek road for 2.5 miles

o       This is a winding road that climbs into the mountains

o       Go slow on this road since there are several places you can drive off a cliff

o       The pavement will end as you come up to an interception of 2 dirt roads

o       Turn left onto Rampart Range Road (a dirt road)

-         Take Rampart Range Road left about ˝ a mile

o       This is a short bumpy dirt road

o       Turn right onto the dirt road on the right with a sign saying Farish Recreation Area

-         Take Farish Recreation road right 1.5 miles

o       This dirt road runs into Farish recreation area

o       As you drive up you will see a sign telling you to stop, but you can drive past that area

o       If anyone questions you, tell them you are with the Dattoli-Scelso wedding

o       After the entrance, take the first right

o       If arriving on Friday, go ahead and park

o       If arriving Saturday morning there will be people directing you where to park
