Standing at 5ft 3in tall, Harlin often lets his mother buy his shoes. Although what he lacks in size he more then makes up with a heart of gold. He proves this when he foots the bills for drinks after he won $200.00 in the funny car contest.
Because falling just two inches below the height requirment he could not follow his first career choice of being a police officer. Instead he's a fine macanic for the CHP Central devision.  It is Harlins job to see that all vehicles are in tip top shape. Harlin loves animals and keeps a dog(Dave) in his garage at Central.
His hobbies and tallents include, Building a super cycle for the CHP to use in certain cases where its needed,  siphoning Gas, and playing chess.

Mr. Wagner was born in San Jose California, son of Logan and Josephine Wagner on Augest 14th 1948. As a young child his parents devorced and  he was sent to Boarding school and then returned to San Jose in his Junior year of high school. Soon after he landed a job at a bowling alley and worked his way up to management. After Graduating from Lincoln High School, he continued to set his sights as an actor and moved to LA. Getting in contact with a friend who worked for NBC who told him to find an agent who specialized with children. While working at the Players Ring, someone told Wagner about some auditions. In the end he not only won the part in that play, he was spotted by John Badham, from Universal Studios. It wasn't long before Mr. Wagner had roles in major television shows. Including playing Harlin in the new hit series "CHiPs" from 1978- 1983.
Today he lives in Los Angeles with his wife Deborah and their niece Elizabeth.

I wonder if it was kind of odd for them to work together  after more then 10yrs.
