Mr. Gilyard was born December 24th 1955 in Moses Lake Washington one of six children. Being from a military family, he attended the Air Force Acedemy then tranferred to Sterling Collage in Kansas where he played the position of Wide Receiver in football. Mr Gilyard is a real cowboy and in his spare time he rides and ropes in celebrity rodeos for a varitity of childrens charities. He's also an Honorary Chairman and spokesman for " Cowboys For Kids" and serves on the Board of the COTA ( Childrens Transplant association)
In his acting career he played in numerous roles becides Benjiman Webster on the hit series "CHiPs", He's also had the role of Conrad McMasters( Matlock). He's been seen in Differant Strokes and co- starred in Top Gun and Die Hard |
