Somewhere deep in the forest of greens,
The fairy spins his webs from dreams
And the wizards cast their solemn spells,
There quietly about the magick dwells
Its beyond the mirrored images or so it would seem,
Though its above and below and in the spaces in-between.
But you'll never really see the old truths here beheld
Or feel the forgotten pain of an old tree felled
You'll never really see if you cant find your way
The path is clear now but wont be someday
So then you'll be left with nothing to see
And the spirits of now will no longer be
The ancient wisdoms will be buried underneath
Of the theories and proofs of science's beliefs
Then the magicks of old with be washed away with the rain
And the stories of the wise men will be legends again.

As we see her, slowly struggling, fighting through the ashes
As the full grown daughter leaves the nest of fire
We see at once the bird of flame is able to see through her pride
We watch the bird raise her head, and gaze into untarnished Truth
We quaver at her power to accept things as they are,
to be able to accept the unacceptable.
She looks straight at us, revealing memories,
simple sights, sounds, and no emotion
She is the embodiment of Justice, devoid of any feeling,
yet she is that in which we put our faith.
She cannot express herself in ways we understand,
not we who understand not the feeling to be reborn through death,
younger, stronger, smarter, and more abstract.
She is a dream, a thought, a theory, or idea
she exists not physically but all can find her if they try
She is trapped behind a primitive door,
the one behind which we lock instinct, and primal fear
She treads in those dark waters,
illuminating the cavern of the unexplored with her brilliance
She understands not why she is not let out,
but realizes it is up to others to decide
She comes when called, rare as those times may be.
She looks forward to the ray of sunshine to fuel her now tired body,
and moonlight to fuel her tired mind.
When she is in control, she experiences things not felt before…
Specifically, a yearning.
For what, she is not sure, yet she has begun to learn
She questions her feelings closely as they are such as she has never felt
before.
A light melancholy, a dreariness of despair.
A loneliness in the pit of her soul.
Even as she thinks this, she questions the meaning.
Can a being such as her have a soul? Feel compassion?
The answers to these questions I do not know,
and even as I realize she is there,
I feel her sink back into the inner recesses of my mind,
her job done, her body restored, her mind confused.
For once, I feel a silver binding between myself,
and the part of me society has forever locked away.
Neither feel quite so alone.
The luminescence of the Phoenix has been said to shine in my eyes,
and her ancient knowledge flows through my fingers.
The more she teaches me, the less I seem to know.
Her perception of life astounds me,
but each time we meet, we are both changed by the encounter.
The end result of life has come to show us the way,
but got stranded on her path.
I only hope she never learns fear.

Tis' Samhain
Eve. Is the table set?
Our kin have come to call.
Our kith & kin, who went
before,
Are standing outside the hall.
Tis' Samhain
Eve. And upon this night -
This night, not of the year -
The veil is thin between the
worlds;
But from them, we've naught to
fear.
Tis' only our
friends who wait outside -
Our kith and kin of old,
Returned for this night from the
Summerland -
Come, welcome them back to the
fold.
Here's the
Hero's Share - It's theirs by right -
Does anyone say naught?
They fought the fight e’re we
were born...
We fight on ground they bought!
Tis' Samhain
Eve. Has the feast been laid?
Our kin have come to call.
Our kith & kin, who've gone
before -
Welcome them into the hall!

Beyond the brave billow
Of the ninth wave there waits
A flaming grace upon the sea
Where Avalon of old once rose
With clarion voices free.
Now where, oh where,
In this pale world of fading pride
Will any find such joy or bliss?
Lost Avalon, bright Avalon
Was fairer far than this.
But hark! What now?
A stirring there, from deep below
Disturbs the ivory foam
Oh, can it be? From out the sea
Is Avalon come home!
Sweet songs rejoice from near and far
And many a priestess stops to thrill
At a hail that echoes deep within
For Avalon's glory and grace have come
To dwell with us again.

The Goddess
by
Kari Schad
Walking in the clouds,
I can feel Her all around me,
Caressing my face with tender love and care.
She speaks to me in the song of the wind,
Treating me to all the secrets of the wonderment of life.
Watching a sunset,
I am mesmerized by Her beauty,
Silently blessing the sky with a paramount of colors.
As a tear gently rolls down my cheek, I know that I am blessed
By Her that would grant me the magic of life.
I am compelled to sing with the trees of all
that She is,
As my heart dances in the clouds with the joy of life that She gives.
She comes to me in my dreams,
And speaks to me of the gifts that She bestows upon me
For simply whispering Her name in my prayers.
I am The Goddess,
As I admire the simple beauty that I see all around me.
And, in this admiration, I know that I am giving back to Her
What is justly Hers for now, and for all time,
Total devotion
And dedication to being all She would wish me to be,
A vessel for Her love and Her blessings to all that I meet.

Dragon Sky by Angela Rothe [email protected] . There is a place I sometimes go known only to those with a heart and a soul This is the land of the dragon sky where people are happy and sadness dies Where creatures dwell beneath the sea and dragons fly and talk to me Where elves do smile and Fairies sing where the sprit and angels are gathering Where animals speak and pigs can fly and how are they there only I know why It is a place that I created to escape from the world that I hated Deep in my mind that's were I go to tell my life and bear my soul By candle light I'll take you there But only enter if you care For though this place is in my mind it is still real throughout all time Look into my crystal ball and tell me what you see is it dragons or fairies they're all in me So take my hand and I'll tell no lies and we'll journey through the Dragon Sky

Mother Queen by Blackfeather [email protected] . "O Lady," I said to Her one night, "I'm confused about your very nature. Are you my Mother, to thank with hugs? Or Queen of every person and creature To whom I should bow and offer gifts? I want to know what's right to do!" I felt Her hand upon my cheek And She said, "O, my sweet child you, Either is right, I'm always both The Queen of All, in Stars and Moon And Mother too, as green as may be In Earth and wolves with howling tune. So let the incense smoke rise high, With your eyes downcast in awe-- Then come and sit upon my lap Like as a child you were taught, And fingerpaint upon my face A rainbow and a heart. I'm Queen and Mom to all that lives And we two shall never part."
