In June 2003, Abbey embarked on a two-month trip to gain ideas for the Campaign to discover how Oxford can beat America in its challenge to offer first-class care for tiny charges - and what a trip it was! She had a high-life visiting many destinations from Florida to Pennsylvania.
An epic journey, which had determination, as she suffers from retinoblastoma, a cancer of the eye. But, that didn't stop her from embarking on such a long and distant journey to help the little people, with big needs appeal.
She knows how important a children's hospital is to the city of Oxford, and she wants to see the �20m dream become a reality, for an once in a lifetime reality!..
