Mecca is very rich in rock art. It is also popular with people who view rock art.  If you visit don't climb over or near it.  When establishing new problems be extra careful that there is none where your problem will climb. Sometimes it is not very obvious. Lighting, the color or texture of the rock and being excited about a great looking line can at times make it very difficult to see at first.
To the right is rock art found under the "Molar" in a small cave.   There is some sort of snake like drawing and the sun (I think) below it.
This picture of a ram and  some other harder to see animals is impossible to see in the wrong light.  When the lighting is right it is very obvious.
On the tall, steep back side of the "Molar"  there are several drawings of the Paranagat Man. The two on the right are easy to see.  What is hard to see are the four or five more to the left below a climbers chalk. The  problem that could be climbed here would probably be three stars at Hueco, but should be avoided because of the art and the consequences if climbers don't respect and protect it. At Mecca there are thousands of boulders, many of which have problems equal to or better than those with rock art, there's no sense in jeopardizing  the whole area. Besides finding something from someone else hundreds of years old adds to the experience of the area.
