| World wide if you were to talk to someone about bouldering Hueco would come up. Once America's Bouldering Mecca, Hueco Tanks has fallen in popularity due to the resrictions. Undoubtably Hueco has a lot to be protected. Unfortunatly the park system bumbled it. If you have a lot of time the bureaucracy can be figured out and if you have a certain area you want to visit it can be, unless it is permanently closed. Otherwise get ready to make reservations and go climbing at areas you may not care to go to. North Mountain is open to "Self Guided Tours", but if you climb harder than V2 you may quickly run out of problems that interest you. |
