September 11, 2001 is the day that opened everyone’s eyes, including my own to care more about our fellowman, our country, and placing more focus on family, neighbors, and especially God. I just wanted to spend as much time as possible with God and my family. It showed me that we are not promised our next breath.  That we need to be more focused on the truth and truly love our fellow Americans. It was just so amazing how things just changed in a blink of an eye. People were starting to be kind to each other for the first time; there was no road rage, the crime rate dropped, and people were just binding together in one accord for the first time here in America. It made me feel more patriotic, and stronger in my faith in God. It also helped me to see the American spirit and the true heroes’. No greater gift can a man give than to give his life for others.

     The reason I did this 48”x 36” painting was because I wanted to honor the Firefighters, as hero’s that gave up their lives, as men that didn’t show fear but showed compassion and patriotism, and most of all showed their love for mankind.

      I placed President Bush from where he was at ground zero because in my opinion he is the best President since Abraham Lincoln. This is a President that I have spent countless hours, days, and months on my knees praying that he would be elected and for God to bless him. I think that President Bush has showed great resolve, great strength, and great command since 9/11/01. I am very pleased and ecstatic that he is our President and fellow American. He has made me proud to be an American and thankful to God that President Bush was elected as our 43^rd President.

     I placed the Statue of Liberty facing the right side for it is the only way to see the Statue and the Twin Towers at the same time. For this is a country that stands on liberty, justice, and where all men are created equal.
