The committee and members of the Chorus Urbanus welcome the announcement of Mgr. Paul Cardona's appointment as the New Archpriest of St. George's Basilica, the Choir's birthplace way back in 1975. Mgr. Cardona succeeds Mgr. Guzeppi Farrugia who has been in office for the last 9 years.

Mgr. Cardona, who hails from Sannat, was ordained priest in 1977 and was the parish priest of St. Laborius, a parish in Rome.

The Choir also welcomes the appointment of Fr. Lino Vella, from Kercem, as the new parish priest of Fontana, and Fr. Joseph Attard, from Nadur, as the new archpriest of St. Mary's Parish at the Gozo Cathedral.
