Our History
In 1892 a small band of Unitarians gathered together in fellowship - without a minister or a building - in Chorlton.  Three years later, a Superintendent District Missionary was appointed in Manchester - his brief being to build Unitarian Churches in the area.  Under this 'Forward Movement' the Wilbraham Road Unitarian Church was erected in 1900.

The church had to be demolished due to dry rot and was replaced, in 1988, with our present multipurpose buliding, which is set in the grounds of the original church.

For well over a century there has been a Unitarian presense and witness in Chorlton and we warmly welcome you to visit us.
