<<-- Sony Xplod CDX-C7050X mobile ES cd player with 4 volt pre-amp outputs for front, rear, and sub. Also has adjustable high pass and low pass crossover points. However, these are not being used. For that, I'm using an AudioControl 2XS crossover for the front components, the high pass crossover in one of the Kenwood amps for the rear, and the adjustable crossover and frequency contour in the PPI amp for the subs.
These are all of the interconnect -->> cables for front, rear, and subs. The white speaker cable is coming from the trunk to the front factory components in the doors. The silver "phone cable" is for the AudioControl Epicenter which is mounted in the trunk. All audio cables run through the center console to the trunk, staying as far from power cables as possible.
<<-- In order to run all of the cables into the trunk, the back seat was removed. Like I said earlier, the audio cables ran straight down the center of the car, away from all power cables, including factory wiring. The 4 gauge power cable was run through the firewall, and down the driver's side all the way to the trunk. All cables are secured with either zip-ties or duct tape and routed around any moving parts or sharp edges.
Power cable, rear and sub -->> interconnects, and speaker cable for the front components.
<<-- Front interconnect, "phone cable" for the Epicenter, and remote turn-on lead wire. Yes, the jack has been removed.
4 gauge ground cable connected -->> to the bolt location for the spare tire. The mounting surface has the paint scraped and sanded off. The connector is nickel plated copper and also used is a stainless steel bolt that has the same theads as the spare tire bolt.
<<-- The factory battery is still being used for now. As little as I play my system, I might just waite until this one dies, then I'll buy another one of those Optima Yellow Top deep cycle batteries. Again, that's the 4 gauge power cable ready to be connected to the battery via a 60 amp fuse, nickel plated just like the battery connector.
System components -->> getting prepped and pre-wired for the install. The subwoofers sit in a 2 cubic ft sealed enclosure that rests in the spare tire well just above the ground cable on the stock foam rubber pads for the tire.
<<-- I know it looks a little messy but I didn't want to make anything final until I could get it in the car, hook everything up, and try it out and work out any bugs that might have come up. Now I'm in the process of redesigning the whole thing over again, so it's still not that pretty to look at.
