Original Writings and Favorite Quotes of Zach Brown

I don't know where this came from, but I found it in a friend's profile. I think it's from a song I've never heard, but I like it.

"I Want To Be In Love"

I have climbed the highest mountain
I have sailed across the sea
I have wrestled with my demons
And woke up with only me
I have been around the block
Three times maybe four
And I think I deserve just a little more

In front of total strangers won't you kiss me
Flowers for no reason but you miss me
Oh I want to be in love
You're standing on the doorstep in the rain
Cause you couldn't wait to see me once again
Oh I want to be in love

I have made some big mistakes
And I've paid a heavy price
I found a little peace between will and sacrifice
I have watched as all my dreams
Went walking out the door
And I think I deserve just a little more

I'm looking for a heart of gold
I'm looking for a hand to hold
A happy end
Strong and kind
Somewhere to rest my troubled mind

In front of total strangers won't you kiss me
Flowers for no reason but you miss me
Oh I want to be in love
On Tuesday light the candles bring me wine
Wednesday morning I won't get to work on time
Oh I want to be in love
Surprise me as I'm stepping off the plane
Take my hand as they play our song again
Oh I want to be in love

LIFE it's just a cereal.

It's okay to be a fool. If we didn't have fools,
the rest of the world wouldn't know how foolish they are.

Here's something I wrote around Sep. 20, 2001

What can we do in such a time? If I am not a fire fighter, doctor, or EMT If I live a thousand miles away- Though it seems too close How can I help If I'm but a student in a small town Seeing the video, over and over How can I help, what can I give If I'm broke If I'm too young to give blood There's plenty I can do-right here, right now I can be there, Be a friend. I can listen. I can care. Because there are millions more victims not on TV Who live far away Who didn't know anyone there They're our friends, our neighbors, closer than we think I can be their friend, and so can you We all need a shoulder to cry on sometime and it's only fair to lend a shoulder in return I have one here; it's pretty soft You're welcome to use it I might use yours for a moment, but that's how we get through these things We embrace our friends, we help our neighbors We love each other God (Dieu, Allah, Dio) Bless U
