Zach's Senior Memories, Pictures, Translations, and Explanations

Who's who in Zach's Memories

ELD=Elissa Lynn Denton, #1 on the "Girls Who Have Kept Me and Others Alive List," and an all-around great person.

EB=Emily B, who attends the Institution in Loserville (Lyndon Institute), and holds spot #2 on the GWHKMOAL. She is an incredible actor, and another all-around great person.

MB= Melissa Bach aka BACH!, BACCUS, el Presidente, Great High Royal Queen of Student Council and Winter Carnival, Supreme Goddess of the Bari Sax, etc. Bach is the one who keeps me thinking straight when I just can't figure out why people do things. She is an amazing human being and I miss her when I don't see her for an hour. I have come through high school mostly on her energy. For the past thirteen years, she has been a constant presence in nearly everything I do, which makes her easy to take for granted. She deserves the highest praise and my life will be very different when she's not there to wake me up before class anymore.

AD= Andrew DeMasi. With too many nicknames to list (many of them kinda mean, but he takes it well), Andrew is simply a great kid. He is one of the goofiest people I know, especially when he doesn't mean to be. Roo is another "kindergarten kid," who has been at Danville School with me since the fall of 1990. He is another part of my life whose absence will be sorely felt.

RM= Ryan Mundinger aka rat, beaver, Beavis, Mudflinger, etc. My friendship with Ryan has been on and off, but he has always been there, one of the few people who would welcome me at any time to sit with him at lunch. He's a great kid.

TA= Tim Aleksiunas. Lacking many nicknames, Tim is one of those somewhat quiet kids whose thoughts are always a bit of a mystery. With Ryan, Tim has welcomed me to the lunch table and aided us in our eternal battle to get the freshmen (and certain sophomores and juniors) to sit somewhere else.

KS= Karri Sicard aka Smiles, Smiley, Smiley Coyote, Happy McSmiley, (you get the idea). I have honestly never seen Karri actually get really mad at anyone. Sure, she gets annoyed at people, but she has the kindest heart a person could have, and is incredibly understanding. I wish every day that I could have the energy, optimism, and dedication that Karri has. She joined our class in sixth grade, but she has meant so much to our class that it seems like she was here since kindergarten.

AB= Aaron Balivet aka Fish Boy (he plays the Bass). Wore a suit and tie every day of junior high, except the days when he wore a jump suit. Aaron's a great guy. He's everybody's friend, and his mother is the ultimate chaperone!

KW= Kellie Woods. Kellie has had many nicknames, most of which shouldn't be repeated. Over the years, she has built up a bit of a reputation, and has had to endure many jokes and not so nice comments. She was kinda mean to me until about sophomore year, mostly because I was never a popular kid. Last fall, I was sitting in the English room, waiting for class to start, and she walked by, glared at me, and in her most angry commanding voice, she said "SMILE, ZACH!" I was shocked, but since then, she has been one of many rays of sunshine in my life. She is a kind, loving person who cares about those around her. She is a blessing to Danville School, and to the World.

ED= Ellie Denton, Elissa's little sister, who is very unlike Elissa, but always wears Elissa's coat. Ellie is definitely her own person. She never does anything just because other people think she should. She makes life seem so simple. Ellie is an inspiration to me.

KD= Katie Denton, Elissa's other little sister, and Ellie's twin. Katie is nothing like Elissa or Ellie. Katie is always concerned about others' feelings. She felt terrible about turning down a guy for prom, even though she didn't really like him that much, and just wanted to go alone. Another of the very kind-hearted people at Danville, Katie rarely gets mad, except when other people are being inconsiderate. The world needs a lot more people like Katie.

BB=Betsy Bissell, who is usually fairly bearable, but can get on one's nerves after a while.

CA= Chlo Adams. I don't spend much time with Chlo, so I don't know her incredibly well, but she can be pretty funny, especially when she doesn't want to be. I have always felt very sorry for Chlo because she was born on April 28th, meaning she shares a birthday with Saddam Hussein, Jay Lenno, and Yours Truly. Luckily, she was probably the coolest person born on that day.

TF= Tamsin Flanders. Tamsin is an incredibly smart person, and has been all over the world. She could easily be really stuck on herself, but she's just another high school student like anyone else. I have always had a lot of respect for her. She's also a great actor.

AO= Amanda Ouellette aka evil duckie girl. Amanda was the oboe soloist for my senior project, is a member of the YAC, and is someone I can always rely on to do what she says she will, and to be honest. She has helped me over the past couple of years to begin to almost understand those strange creatures we call girls.

LF= Lisa Fontes. Lisa is a thespian and a techie. She understands the love that goes into putting on a good production. I don't know many people, especially at Danville, who understand that. I am entrusting her with a lot of responsibility when I graduate.

JL= Jimmy Lynch. Jimmy is just a cool kid. Not the most social guy ever, but gets along with everyone.

ND=Nick Daniell. He thinks I pushed him out of a tree when we were little. He imagined it.

PEOPLE I FORGOT OR DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT:
Since Senior Memories have to be submitted in October, they're really more like Junior Memories. So, I have gotten to know some people over the past few months since I wrote my memories and they were not included in the published version. However, they will be included here. And of course, there are the people I forgot.

TC= Tyler Chamberlin. Another kindergarten kid. Tyler was one of two people in the class that I knew before I entered kindergarten. The other moved to St. J and I haven't talked to him since. Tyler (who can be seen directly below my memories, on the right. the guy on the left is John, who I never talk to. And the fat, stupid, ugly guy on the bottom is me.) is an incredible drummer. He's been playing with the high school jazz band since he was in seventh grade. He's usually pretty quiet, but he cares about everyone he knows. He's a great person.

Angie. I met Angie a few years ago, but never really got to know her. Last summer, we did a show together (Little Shop of Horrors-she played the slutty girl Audrey). I didn't talk to her a lot then, but now that I know her, I wish I could have put her in. She's really nice, and is willing to talk to me, even though I am just a stupid boy, and apparently I frequently call her stupid, fat, and ugly without even knowing it.

[EDITOR'S NOTE,]: Looking back at this page and fixing some things (like the picture that never seemed to show up) many months (11 or so) after writing the page, I feel the need to say a few things about the final portion. Many things have happened since I wrote the section regarding Angie, but regardless and irregardless of all of that, everything there is still true, i.e. I don't hate her. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's fine. Don't worry. It won't be on the exam. But on the off chance that anyone ever reads this page again and knows anything about that, I just thought I should say that. Okay. That's it. Go have fun now. -ZB, 4/12/04

p.s.- random side note for anyone in the know: I'm listening to Holst's first suite in Eb as I write this editor's note. Funny how the computer "randomly" chooses music like that. Anyway....
