| TSUNAMI UPDATE PART TWO PAGE THREE |
| When a Nation rejects the truth of the Gospel, it reaps destruction as the law of Sowing and reaping plays out its deadly game. I have ministered through the areas of Indonesia which were the worst hit with the recent tsunami, I have seen many come to the Lord in this Nation. Indonesia is an Islamic Nation of over 200 million people of which over 20% are Christian (the Indonesian government will not admit to this). What is not commonly known is that the rate of Christian martyrdom is one of the highest in the world. I recently read a report, by Fred Giles, which I quote: Thanks for this word. In fact, the "Islamic Factor" is quite right. From my personal knowledge of Indonesia, this is the first thingthat came to mind when I heard of the earthquake.I support "The Bible League (Chicago)", and know from eyewitness reports that the persecution of Christians is probably worse and more blatant in Indonesia (with no protection offered by the government) than anywhere in the world.A visiting native missionary showed me pictures of a local Bible school in a large, metro city filled with bright-eyed teenagers that was raided during mid-day by Islamic fundamentalists armed with machetes. They kicked in the doors of the Bible school, and attempted (and succeeded) at chopping off as many heads as possible. I saw the gruesome pictures of the dead, and the pictures of survivors with huge stitches across their necks. The police did nothing to stop it, or to track down those responsible. The news showed yesterday that one of the valleys in Indonesia that was destroyed was Islamic; all the houses were leveled, with only the husks of the mosque remaining as a sign to them and to the world...God does not smile on those who kill his children, but wants all to be saved.I hope that those Indonesians who are left alive are not so hard-hearted that they cannot hear the voice of God in this situation telling them to repent.End of quote. Gods law of sowing and reaping is a law that keeps evil in check to a degree; it has a way of retarding evil. But I know many would ask what about the thousands of innocent children which died? We need to bear in mind that many natural disasters are a result of what man has sown, does not the Word say; Hosea 8:7a For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. When man brings catastrophes upon himself, he turns round and blames God for not stopping it. I firmly believe that when a child dies regardless of Nationality and beliefs of its parents, that child goes to be with the Lord, at what age accountability kicks in only God knows. We know that God doeth all things well. Jesus Warned about the Days we are Living in. |
