Part 2 - Destiny part 1 Do you really have a destiny? Last week, we looked at, where did we come from, and why are we here. This week we are looking at destiny. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, These scriptures tell us a number of things. � God foreknew or new us before we came to this earth. � We were predestined to become like Jesus. � This predestination initiated a call on our lives. � Along with this predestination or destiny we have been given an inheritance, or everything we need to fulfill this destiny. It needs to be understood that, we all have a free will and can chose the path we take in this life. God does not force man to serve Him or follow Him. Every human being in this earth has a destiny and somewhere deep inside them there is a sense of this destiny. However most people live there lives without knowing what their destiny is, it lies buried beneath the conscious awareness of mans soul, blocked out with the cares of this life and the mundane tasks of just living, so he continues on with the seeming meaningless repetitive events of his life. A recent survey of medical practitioners revealed that the majority of their patients were suffering from a profound lack of purpose. There lives were meaningless. This in turn had a direct bearing on the physical ailments they suffered. There is a purpose to you being sent here to this world and until you find and follow that purpose or destiny you are going to be dissatisfied with your life, even thou you have come to know the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is pouring out his spirit of grace upon the earth in a way which He has never done before in order to awaken destiny in people. There has never been a time like this, the Lord is about to awaken multitudes to their purpose here in this earth. As the Spirit of God sweeps across the earth in this way multitudes will awaken from a stupor that has kept them unaware of who they are and what their purpose is. Old and young alike will arise out of their dazed condition and embrace a purpose for their lives, Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: |
