Part One - Introduction The purpose of these weekly devotional writings is to seek to take you on a journey into the deeper things of God. I intend this to be an adventure for you, an experience of understanding and revelation. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Hebrew church in Hebrews 6:1-2 saying LET US MOVE ON. He was exhorting us to move on beyond the basic foundations of truth and enter the depths of the riches of the Lords life and grace. There is much more for you to understand and enter into 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. However we are essentially a spirit, the scriptures refer many times to man as a spirit and this is the first truth we need to understand. 1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? 1 Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? The question needs to be asked, how long has your spirit been in existence? Was your spirit created the day you were conceived on earth, or at the point of your birth? To answer this we need to look at a few scriptures. 2 Timothy 1:9 who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, |
