Varanasi
Sunrise over Mama Ganga.
The Ghats (stairs) leading down to the shore of the Ganges are the main attraction of Varanasi.
The ghats are a hive of activity day and night.
One of the highlights of Varanasi is to take a sunrise boat tour along Mama Ganga.
The water is absolutely filthy but that doesn't seem to concern the devout locals.  Bathing in the waters of the Ganges is said to cleanse the soul.
These clothes will not only get clean - they'll be closer to god.
Auyervedic Massage - painful in a good way.
Varanasi is a fortuitous place to die.  Those lucky enough are cremated at one of the burning ghats and their remains are disposed of in the Ganges.  According to religious tradition this is a sure way to achieve Moksha, freedom from rebirth.  This firewood is used for the funeral pyres.
Religious paintings along the ghats.
The markets of India are something to behold.

Not only is Varanasi a fortuitous place to die, it is also a great place to buy silk.
