Gekka Kajin Important Terms

In the world of the Gekka-Kajin manga, there are some special terms you should be aware of. The most important of them are the name of classes given to the different clans of the Shinzoku (or Mazoku) people.

At the top is the ruling class, the Seihaku-ke. (Seihaku written blue-white family/clan) The Seihaku-ke is one family and hold all the power of the world they live in (Shinkai or Makai). Below them is the Sei-ke (blue family/clan). The people of the Sei-ke are classified by their special powers. Below the Sei-ke is the Haku-ke (white family/clan) who have some special abilities (eg. healing). Below them are the Ohhaku-zoku (yellow-white family/clan), who are the commoners and don't hold any special powers what-so-ever. Other than these people, there are the Zyuuzoku, who are monstrous living beings or creatures.

All the clans other than the Seihaku-ke lead a miserable and poor life, and are controlled entirely by the Seihaku-ke.
