The Chong Brothers
The
Chong Brothers, Lee, Jue, Sam, Look and Bing leased the McCarthy Ranch
in 1923. Today the ranch belongs to Frank Silva which is north of
the
Isleton Bridge. Though lacking in formal college education, they
used
their country-boy engineering to develop the first asparagus plow in
1926. The Miller and Chong asparagus plow, as it came to be
known, was
quite famous in the Delta.
