| As you try to sleep, You see the shadows creep, And you remember such terrifying rhymes. But those stories of goblins and ghouls Can only frighten the fools Who allow themselves to be prey of the time When the sun surrenders To the force that renders Us feeling humbled and blind. Such tales of terror are spun about the sky without the sun, but those storytellers don't mention the silver stars that gleam, and the beautiful visions we dream. But instead they divert your attention to the darkness they dub 'unclean' and to demons that remain unseen to steal us away to some evil demention. Reject those lies, and smile as you sleep, dreaming all the while. Don't let scary stories cloud your sight, instead dance and dream under the starry sky, release your soul and let it fly. So hush, my small one, you needn't fear the night. there's no need to hide, for my love stands as a guide to watch over you until first morning's light. |
