Smoothie Heaven
Welcome to smoothie central! There are a variety of smoothies to try out, some can be used as a low fat kick start to your day instead of breakfast, these recipes contain a kilojoule and fat breakdown. Then, there are the indulgent smoothies such as the Chocolate Mud Smoothie, calorie and fat content has been left out for obvious reasons!
Kilojoule Strip Down |

| 1 Cup low fat milk 1/2 cup non-fat yoghurt 2 kiwi fruit, peeled & quartered 1 scoop of low fat ice-cream Place milk, yoghurt, kiwi fruit and ice-cream into Smoothie jug or blender. Process for 30 - 40 seconds or until smooth, thick and creamy. Pour into a glass and serve immediateley. |

Carbo Kick Start |

| 1 1/4 cups low fat milk 2 tablespoons of honey 1 small banana, peeled and chopped 2 teaspoons wheat germ 1 teaspoon lecithin 1 egg Place all of the ingredients into a Smoothie jug or blender. Process for 30-40 seconds or until smooth, thick and creamy. Pour into glass and serve immediately. |

Strawberry Flip |

| 1 1/4 cups of low fat milk 3 tablespoons low fat strawberry yoghurt 3 tablespoons of orange juice 6 fresh stawberries, hulled and halved Place all of the ingredients into a Smoothie jug or blender. Process for 30 - 40 seconds or until smooth, thick and creamy. Pour into a glass and serve immediately. |

Kiwi Friut Crush |

| 1 1/4 cups of soda water 2 kiwi fruit, peeled and quartered 1 cup crushed ice Pop
the kiwi fruit and soda water into Smoothie jug or
blender. Process for 20 - 30 seconds or until smooth.
Pour over ice and enjoy. |

Protein Power |

| 1 1/4 cups of low fat milk 6 canned apricot halves, drained 2 scoops of low fat ice-cream 1 tablespoon protein powder drink mix 2 teaspoons, toasted, shredded coconut Place everything in the smoothie jug except the coconutuntil smoothor , thick and creamy. Pour into glass, . Process for 30 - 40 seconds sprinkle over the coconut and enjoy! |

Chocolate Mud Smoothie |

| 1 1/4 cups of
milk 1/3 cup strong black coffee, chilled 2 tablespoons chocolate topping 2 scoops chocolate ice-cream 1/2 cup King Island cream 1 flake chocolate bar, crumbled Place the milk, coffee, topping and ice-cream
into a smoothie jug or blender. Process until smooth,
thick and creamy. Pour into glasses, top with a dollop of
cream. Sprinkle the crumbled flake bar and serve
immediately. |
Mango Tango |

| 1/2 cup of
coconut milk 1/2 cup of low fat milk 1/2 cup mango flavoured yoghurt 1/2 mango, peeled, seeded and chopped (fresh is best, but if not in season tinned will do) 1 scoop of ice-cream Pulp of one passionfriut Place the milk, yoghurt, mango and ice-cream into a smoothie jug or blender. Process for 30 - 40 seconds or until smooth, thick and creamy. Pour into glasses and spoon over passionfruit pulp and enjoy. |
Raspberry & Peach Shake |

| 1 cup of milk 2 canned peaches, halved 1/4 cup of fresh or frozen raspberries 2 scoops of ice-cream 1 tablespoon flaked almonds (Optional) Place the milk, peaches, raspberries and ice-cream into Smoothie jug or blender. Process for 30 - 40 seconds or until smooth, thick and creamy. Pour into glasses and top with almonds....serve and enjoy. |
Tropical Passion |

| 1 cup of lemon
flavoured mineral water 1/2 cup of cream 1/2 cup fresh mango, chopped 1/4 cup Malibu liqueur 1/2 cup crushed ice 2 kiwi fruit, peeled and quartered 1 cup crushed ice Place mineral water, cream, mango and Malibu into blender. Process for 20 - 30 seconds or until smooth. Scoop ice-cream into glasses, pour over mango mixture. Serve immediately. |
Fruit Salad Smoothie |

| 1/2 cup of low
fat milk 1 cup of low fat plain yoghurt 1 scoop of low fat ice-cream 1/3 of a coup of canned fruit salad 1/2 cup of crushed ice Place milk, yoghurt, ice-cream and fruit salad into a smoothie jug or blender. Process for 30 - 40 seconds or until smooth, thick and creamy. Scoop ice into glasses, pour over the mixture and serve. |
Tropical Champagne Crush |

| 1 1/4 cups of
well chilled champagne 1 ring of pineapple, chopped 1/4 cup of rockmelon 1/2 small mango, peeled and chopped Pulp of a passionfruit 1 cup of crushed ice Place champagne, pineapple, rockmelon,mango and passionfriut into a smoothie jug or blender. Process until smooth. Place ice into glasses, pour over the champagne mixture and serve. |
Coffee Frappe |

| 1 cup of strong
hot espresso coffee 2 teaspoons sugar 1/2 cup of water 2 tablespoons King Island cream 2 tablespoons grated chocolate Combine coffee and sugar, set aside to cool, then pour into a shallow tray. Feeze until firm, but not rock hard. Break up coffee ice using a fork, transfer into smoothie jug or blender and pour in the water. Process using a pulse action until water is combined. (Note: the mixture should still be icy). Spoon into glasses, top with cream and grated chocolate.....serve immediately and enjoy. |
