Chocolate Log
Ingredients
300 grams caster sugar
400 ml cold water
rind of one orange
500 grams walnut pieces
150 grams cocoa (sifted)
icing sugar to dust
Method:
Grate the orange rind and pop into a saucepan along with the sugar and water....boil unitl syrupy. Remove from the heat and add the cocoa and walnuts. Once you have mixed the ingredients return it to the heat and cook until it thickens.
Once the mixture has cooled slightly, place half of the mixture onto a sheet of baking paper dusted with icing sugar and roll up int a sausage shape. Secure the ends and pop into the fridge until set......do the same with the 2nd half of the mixture. When set slice and serve.
